As Founder and Creative Director of Cliff Walk Designs, an ecologically focused landscape design studio based in Larchmont, New York, Emmy Lambert brings a refined aesthetic and deep reverence for the natural world to every garden she creates.
Established in 2022, Cliff Walk Designs is named after the beloved Cliff Walk near her childhood summer home in Prouts Neck, Maine—a coastal landscape of striking natural beauty which also served as a profound source of inspiration for artist Winslow Homer. It remains a touchstone for Emmy's design philosophy: poetic, grounded, and attuned to place.
Guided by formal training in Horticulture and Landscape Design from the New York Botanical Garden, the Designer’s work embodies the harmony between elegance and ecology. Each project reflects a commitment to beauty, balance, and biodiversity—landscapes that are as restorative as they are timeless.

Before founding her studio, Emmy spent over thirteen years in luxury public relations and events, representing iconic houses including The Estée Lauder Companies and Cartier North America. She also consulted for heritage brands such as Farrow & Ball and Dempsey & Carroll, as well as the architecturally distinctive coastal community of Windsor, Florida.
Ultimately, her innate sense of composition and lifelong love for plants and wildlife guided her toward a more purposeful path—one rooted in design, stewardship, and the quiet beauty of nature. Her most current work includes the landscape restoration of two important public sites in the Village of Larchmont, where the Designer resides with her family and their miniature long-haired dachshund.
“Every garden is a delicate dance with nature—shaped by light, soil, and the shifting rhythm of the seasons.”
