A beautiful estate along the water in Westport, CT. My client, who had just launched her own business to treat clients with plant-based remedies grown from her own garden. She wanted a design that would segue each section of the garden as a “function” for treating various ailments and issues within the body. From respiratory to nervine to digestive, culinary, skin & wound, scent, endocrine and uterine - the garden was created to delineate specific spaces for the plants that have treated ailments in people dating back to the monastic period. A semi-circular tree bench with pots surrounding in complementary colors serves as a stopping point for discussion and reflection about the needs of each individual client.
