This family of five moved into their forever home in Chappaqua, NY, with approximately 3.5 acres of land and a stream that runs along the property. They wanted space for their children to play but also wished to create a large fire pit patio area for entertaining, as well as beautiful moments that flowed with the natural curves of their landscape.

The corner of the backyard transformed into a peaceful, meditative moment with a bright blue bench flanked by regal Ostrich Ferns. Working with the existing ferns growing along the banks of the stream, we added Heuchera, Amsonia hubrechtii, Brunnera and Astilbe. A beautiful stone bird bath - tucked into a nook between garden beds - was a gift from one spouse to the other.
